2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHow I will prepare for June 16th.
I will prepare for June 16th by removing the B, S, H and C keys from my keyboard. That way I will not be able to praise Bernie Sanders or criticize Hillary Clinton.
Cheers! (eer! after June 16th)

(13,685 posts)You think DU is slow now? Just wait until Bernie can't be bashed any more. Half the threads here were bashing Bernie and his supporters.

(16,916 posts)I haven't seen those posts in months
RobertEarl
(13,685 posts)But I can only take so much. I feel bad for the lurkers. No wonder the numbers of posts has dropped by so very much. It's not a pretty site.

(51,076 posts)sometimes I question my reason to be here due to my ignore list
A lot of the most prolific posters are going to be very bored with nothing to aim their shit at.

(13,685 posts)I rarely ever alert, but come June 16? Fired up!

(27,813 posts)... that DU consisted of 85% BS supporters, it seems rather ridiculous to say that "half the threads here were bashing Bernie and his supporters". In fact, that notion is extremely ridiculous.
Perhaps it's BernieMath that leads you to believe that anywhere near "half the threads here" were posted by 15% of the active membership - even less if you consider how many HRCers were relegated to time-outs due to 85% of the jury pool being BS supporters.
I have noted two things about the Bernie supporters here on DU: they cling to "facts" not in evidence, and they cry "persecution" when things don't go their way.

(25,699 posts)But then you're also someone who, last we spoke, was pretending that a WillPitt thread from 2014 was still heading hte "Greatest" page.
NanceGreggs
(27,813 posts)... what you're talking about.
LanternWaste
(37,748 posts)You can of course support the premise that 15% of the board outposted the other 85%, yes? Or is the allegation simply faith-based thinking?
azurnoir
(45,850 posts)seems that same % or higher of Hillary supporting DUers are either either MIRT or Forum Hosts or both - could be seen as illustrating how a tiny minority can hold sway over a majority
NanceGreggs
(27,813 posts)... how many HRCers were on MIRT or acted as hosts.
What I DO know is that a site comprised of 85% BS supporters meant that 85% of the jury pool were BSers - and if you want to try and convince me that this fact alone had no impact on whose posts got "hidden" and whose posts were voted as a "leave", you might want to tell me about this bridge in Brooklyn that could be up for sale.
azurnoir
(45,850 posts)you may not have looked, and as far who's posts are hidden I'd say it's pretty distributed moreover folks should check the numbers of Hillary posters with <3 months vs Bernie supporters of the same duration
but not to worry 48 hours and the site will be Hillary only
LoverOfLiberty
(1,438 posts)That isn't the intention of the new rules and you know it.
azurnoir
(45,850 posts)not to mention Bernie has not yet conceded meaning he can be considered as opposing Hillary
Armstead
(47,803 posts)Voted to hide many anti Clinton posts and leave alone anti Bernie posts
Which candidate one supports does not always have a bearing on what gets hidden

It is stupid that real factual posts can be censored. I guess we are no longer interested in facts.
