2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSanders will never be accused of being a team player
It is all about him, even now. Its shameful and dangerous. Even though there is only a tiny chance Trump will win, if he does, Sanders will take a large portion of blame. He doesn't care though.
You can't say you will do everything you can to beat trump, and also say you will do everything you can to prevent a united front against Trump.
Its INSANITY.

(51,308 posts)A shame because I liked him and thought his running was a good thing.
He's going to be dealing with some fallout from this behavior I think.

(58,785 posts)to save America. Oh, sure, ego's in it. Extreme righteousness makes that inevitable. Only he and those with him see the truth and can save us from the brink. Yada, yada.
But I really don't doubt his commitment to what he's trying to do. Even if it is true that he has been pulled off track somewhat by negative emotions, he's still in there fighting to take down the Democratic leadership and rebuild the party all by himself in the middle of the critically important 2016 election.

(13,340 posts)One of my concerns about him up front was that he was more interested in his personal crusade than in working within the party to advance the party and his causes. I'm not so much of a fan of him coming in and telling me and mine that we're corrupt and insisting we all do things his way.
I certainly don't think he's on MY team.

(17,301 posts)They allowed a lot of unethical policies under Obama and Hillary's department's participation in these drone strikes is unnerving. Obama's trying to cut Social Security, tax cuts for the rich, and union busting trade agreements. His protection of the bushes and torture. His unethical support of austerity for 99% of the people. Allowing unreliable voting machines and voter suppression without fighting back. Taking impeachment off the table when it was clearly warranted.
All of these things are Not liberal values. The Democratic party, MY Democratic party, has been corrupted by money. And pretending otherwise is silly.

(42,862 posts)I think we can all agree that both she and Obama have demonstrated much more character and have been far more gracious and flattering to Bernie that he's been to either of them. Bernie's passive-aggressive behavior just foments even worse from some of his followers. More attacks, more smears, more lies, more tearing-down or party's candidate, and the whole campaign-mode continues without end. He's been a real disappointment to me.

(114,904 posts)is justifiable. There are exceptions of course, and yes, I know I can be a bit of a snob, but really it is so tacky. And that post was horrid.
I have never seen the like on DU. In 2008, when I knew Obama had it, I made an effort to understand the frustration and sadness of Hillary supporters. I stopped nasty, gratuitous attacks on her and her supporters and extended an olive branch. That's just common decency.
I have seen that from a handful of Hillary supporters here. Mostly, it's nastiness atop nastiness. And that poster is one who bathes in it.
I stopped writing negative posts about Hillary weeks ago.
I have no use for this.
I've been posting less and less here because of it.

(68,868 posts)Even though it was much closer and she had legit gripes about her voters being suppressed by caucuses.
Sanders has yet to recognize the legitimacy of the vote.
He's acting like it's a huge act of charity to admit he lost.
Maru Kitteh
(28,339 posts)making ridiculous demands and pretending like she was some kind of co-winner - even though her margin in 2008 was much, much closer. Mr. Sanders, by any measure, on the other hand, was soundly beaten.

Okay. If he is for the people, he should not have run as a Democrat. Got it.

(35,015 posts)Bernie has a reputation for working with his peers in Congress (on both sides of the aisle) to get things done. It might do you good to do your homework before making such a ridiculous statement.
Fear is not your friend, remember that.
