That is why candidates try to raise that amount of money from individual donors.

Not because they are trying to insult Bernie Sanders and his famous average donation size of $27.

If you read on a blog that someone is intentionally insulting Bernie Sanders, calling it a "ginormous upraised middle finger to Bernie Sanders" because they are asking donors to contribute that amount, you should take that blog off your reading list as it is run by some combination of liars, cranks and ignoramuses.

No rational person is capable of believing such derp.
