Many issues that were prominent in the Democratic Primary race

will not be prominent in the General Election race. In fact, many of them will simply slip out of the discussion altogether. Some examples:

$15 Minimum Wage - The Democratic candidate will favor an increase in the minimum wage. Whether it's $15 or some other amount will not be a General Election issue.

Fracking - While Bernie and Hillary have a different positions on this, it will fade during the General Election. There's no there, there, between Hillary and Donald Trump.

Big Money Campaign Financing - Both GE candidates will be using it in 2016. Hillary has stated that she wants Citizens United overturned and that she will work to do that. Donald Trump won't say that. Hillary has the more progressive position.

Iraq War Authorization Vote - This was a major issue during the primary. Hillary voted for it, and Bernie did not. Donald Trump did not play a role at all, so this issue will simply disappear during the General Election. It will not affect people's votes.

There are many other issues that separated Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders during the primary race. Some are substantial and some more trivial. However, given the major issues that separate Clinton and Trump, most of those primary issues will fail to be factors in voters' decisions in November.

Or maybe we can make the Vietnam War Authorization vote an issue since Trump got out of because of "flat feet" — or was it tiny hands?

He has no recognizable, coherent policies, other than The Great Wall of Mexico and banning Muslims from entering the U.S. He's just a big orange blob of fury and resentment. He opens his mouth (which somewhat resembles an asshole) and words fall out, few of which have any relationship to anything resembling actual policies or issues or theories of government or anything other than how we should (1) be afraid, and (2) acknowledge His Trumperorship as the greatest of anything, ever.

The result will be, unfortunately, that this election will not be about issues; it will be about keeping a lunatic out of the White House.
