Okay, How does the GOP see Brexit helping them when the US elections?

I keep hearing how Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, and other Republicans are cheering the UK vote to leave the EU. How in the world do they see this as a win for the GOP? I do not understand their happiness.

Can someone explain this to me.......???????

Any tiny little thing that goes wrong with it - they will blame on Obama with word salad.

reached on the basis of economic and anti-immigrant anxiety can help them win with Trump in the US on the same fault lines.

In typical GoP airhead fashion, they're ignoring changing demographics. The UK's largest ethnic group is 87% of the population and BRexit only won by 51%. The US's largest is 62%(non-white hispanics). Trump's economic/anti-establishment message will have some appeal, but his anti-immigrant message is going to cost him dearly since the target.

Brexit should be a nightmare for them because a lot of people are going to suffer in the short term on their 401Ks and it's a reminder of the demographic problems that Trump's message has.

3. They are hoping the NEtherlands, Greece, and several others exit the EU as well.

They know damned well and good such a massive simultaneous exit from the EU, and in many cases the Eurozone, would result in a global economic calamity.

Global economic calamities during presidential election years ALWAYS result in the party not in the white house overwhelmingly winning the fall elections.

What they hope for is global misery in order to win.

6. Their support for the Brexit will have no effect on US elections.

Since all politics are local, and global economic calamities hit all local elections nearly equally, support for the Brexit will have zero effect on the elections. The result of the Brexit is all that matters.

From a strictly base perspective, supporting the Brexit appeals to their base of morons and will serve to keep them in line and GOTV. That is all it is, red meat for the base.

It's the results of the Brexit that can serve to sway the mushy middle. The mushy middle won't care why they are actually hurting economically, just that they are.

Blame always rests on the occupants of the White House whenever the mushy middle feels economic pain.

Always.

The UK is experiencing severe economic consequences for this vote already and it's going to get worse. The fact that the UK is about to be plunged into a recession will be shown as an example that the policies Trump is pushing of isolationism and xenophobia are a disaster.

If a volcano erupted in Canada, they would say that was proof that they were right all along about everything, and they would tell us that was going to make everyone vote for them.
