Britain was a safer place to invest yesterday than it was today.

Elections have consequences.

It might well no longer even be the UK if Scotland and Ireland decide to stay in the EU.

7. Trump should be left out of the equation here

It's clear that this is vote against the government and to an extent, multinationals, who exploit workers everywhere. Trump's company is multinational, so tying him to the Brexit vote is like oranges and apples.

The problem is that it is more than just yeses and noes, and I think the folks there didn't quite hear all of the arguments clearly of the ramifications.

I despise the traders more than anyone about Brexit. Hedge fund managers are making out like bandits.

-The value pf the pound has dropped. That hurts working class Brits the most because they spend most of their income on necessities

-The FTSE has dropped. That hurts future pensioners.

- Brits can no longer travel freely as they did before

-Brexit was a victory for xenophobia, nativism, and know nothingness

-Trump's Scottish golf course benefits because a strong dollar makes traveling overseas cheaper for those who can afford it in the first place.

-I saw a British woman on tv who applauded Brexit because now her children won't have to go to school with immigrants. That says it all.

-In sticking it to The Man the British stuck it to themselves.

-The Brits declared war on modernity and it looks like modernity is going to win.

he didn't cause it, but Brexit IS the UK version of the trump campaign, to your point people here not hearing (or giving a fuck) about the ramifications that would come with electing the jackass.

Leave won 52-48. That is hardly a resounding majority. If they had a do over Remain would easily win.

from the talking heads here was the outcome would somehow help Trump.

But, I think to what extent the dolts here tune into it, it won't help him.

They didn't take the vote on Brexit seriously, they just fell for the usual cookie cutter simple minded bullshit, and unlike a lot of the conservative disasters like Iraq, that took years to unfold, they saw the IMMEDIATE impact of it.

We aren't going to get the 40% give or take complete partisan Rs and flat stupid asses (R or otherwise) who ARE going to vote for him even if he skull screws farm animals live during debates.

BUT, again, to the extent that people here might be paying attention, HOPEFULLY:

1) It helps the people who know better who might not have shown up actually get out to vote
2) It helps the people who aren't full on stupid or Rs who might have slept on it and voted Trump think twice and make a more sober decision vs operating from the simple minded, trite ass bullshit perspective.

We will see.

But, I think as this unfolds most likely badly for the UK, that it would useful to use Brexit as an example of what it would end up like with a Trump presidency.

Bad news about the UK - this is what could happen here with Trunmp.
