I'm voting for Hillary and encouraging everyone I know to do the same.

I live in Wisconsin, so I've seen first-hand what happens when Republicans get full control over government. They've got the State Assembly, State Senate, Governor's mansion and even the State Supreme Court here. Since Day One, when Squat Wanker "dropped the bomb," they've been working on changing the rules so they never lose that control.

Wisconsin is also a "purple" state, and I know that every vote matters. There's a very real threat that Trump could win the White House while Republicans maintain control of Congress. You can say goodbye to the "supermajority" rule in the Senate if that happens.

That said, I will continue my efforts to get much more progressive candidates elected, and to rid our party of those who would try to rig our party's primaries in any direction. The Democratic Party should stand for fairness and democracy.

We have one Democrat in Congress.

The rest of the state is all super majority Republican!

And you know what a "damn progressive leftwing socialist extremist" is down here?

A blue dog Democrat!

We have open primaries down here, but I guess our Big Tent covers every kind of Democrat.

... ask the people in Flint what happens when your state is over-run by right wing nut jobs.

Note Michigan's two Senators are Democrats and we voted for Obama .... but on the state level we might as well be backwater America.

My dad lives north of Petoskey ... the right wing nut jobs there are pretty bad too.

For whatever reason, my dad likes to engage them (kinda dangerous for an almost 80 year old man)

What has happened in Wisconsin is a nightmare. Once they get a hold of a state, they make enough changes that it is hard to get rid of them. Pod People.

This is yet another reason why the DNC is so important. I am definitely voting for Hillary and I have no problem with that, but I am concerned about the down ticket races that often get ignored.

That's why I make usernames up out of whole cloth, and usually use character names from MMORPGs where' I've created the character name out of whole cloth.

"Scuba" is a completely generic term and there must be literally thousands of users with the name "Scuba" on a wide variety of internet forums, so I could, in fact, be thinking of a different "Scuba".
