Donald Trump to Father of Fallen Soldier: 'I’ve Made a Lot of Sacrifices'

By STEVE TURNHAM Jul 30, 2016, 12:38 PM ET

In his first response to a searing charge from bereaved Army father Khizr Khan that he’d “sacrificed nothing” for his country, Donald Trump claimed that he had in fact sacrificed by employing “thousands and thousands of people.” He also suggested that Khan’s wife didn’t speak because she was forbidden to as a Muslim and questioned whether Khan’s words were his own.

“Who wrote that? Did Hillary's script writers write it?” Trump said in an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. “I think I've made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard.”

and no honor.

He is the most vile creature ever nominated for President of the USA in its entire history I believe.

He is letting Mr. Kahn's words really get to him. In a sense it is making Mr. Kahn's words even more powerful.

Thanks Stump. People are seeing you for who you are - a Xenophobic Bigot!

Those sacrifices that compare to losing a loved one in service to the country.

I despise arrogance such as Trump's.

Capt Khan gave his life.

If that shitstain Trump had one honorable bone in his body he would go to Arlington and lay a wreath on his grave and weep bitter tears over it!

Trump has officially graduated to someone the planet would be better off without. I try not to wish ill on anyone but he is beyond the pale. A cancer eating away at American discourse. He probably does not see himself as a parasitical growth on the body politic. But a cancer just eats away until the host dies. It doesn't know it's cancer. So it is up to us to give him a hot shot of chemo come November.

Did he mean he thinks it a sacrifice to actually pay the people who work for him? After all, he stiffed contractors right and left. Maybe the cry for less regulation is a cry for the opportunity to still employees without consequences.

He cannot act dignified and just move on with his campaign. No matter what he has to respond.

Let him keep going off script and he'll be down 15 in all the polls soon enough.
