Almost immediately following Monday nights debate, Trump began blaming his failed performance on his mic, claiming that it was defective. When reporters asked about the Republican candidates less than mediocre performance, Trumps response was:
I had a problem with a microphone that didnt work. I dont know if you saw that in the room. My microphone was terrible. I wonder was it set up that way on purpose. My microphone in the room, they couldnt hear me, you know, it was going on and off. Which isnt exactly great. I wonder if it was set up that way, but it was terrible. When I tested, it was beautiful, like an hour before, I said what a great mic.

Of course he can never ever have blame placed upon him, so it was mic's fault!

(5,810 posts)Like how it malfunctioned and what harm it caused. Who was unable to hear him and, if it was in the hall, why didn't they speak up or give a hand signal (hand cupped to ear) to indicate they couldn't hear him? Do tell us, Donald. Explain the problem. We 're all ears.

(1,156 posts)Has anyone out in TV land complained that they didn't? No. How about Hillary? She didn't seem to have a problem hearing him, so I infer from that the debate attendees heard him fine, too. Did anyone in the audience mention a problem? No? So far, only Donald.
