Dear Trump and his media enablers: don't tell me this is a change election,
and Hillary doesn't represent change,
when every single one of our 43 Presidents for more than two hundred years has been a flawed MAN.
When all but 20 of our Senators are flawed MEN.
When all but a handful of Governors are flawed MEN.
When 100 years ago women, no matter how nearly perfect, didn't even have the right to VOTE.
Don't pretend that the double standard isn't real. That women aren't held to different, higher, and conflicting standards. Standards that are almost impossible for a human being to meet.
Don't pretend that this change has already happened because "of course women are equal," even though no woman has ever been qualified enough, equal enough, perfect enough, to be elected President.
Don't pretend it won't be a change, a monumental CHANGE, when we finally, in 2016, elect the first woman President of the United States.
Don't pretend that a hundred million flawed women won't be rejoicing, openly or only in their hearts, when that day finally arrives.
