It is his team of tax attorneys and accountants that know the tax system -- not Trump. Too bad ethics rules prevent them from speaking out because I am sure he has stiffed quite a few of them and would love to speak out against him.

The Gospel according to the Donald is written in stone and above reproach. Just ask his lemmings that will follow him over the cliff and into the abyss.

He's a lunatic.

5. Who knew "It takes a thief to catch a thief" would be a serious platform position?

His surrogates are trying to spin this as evidence that he is..wait for it..."a genius"!

So with your big brain Donald, tell us how someone who has $3-$10B in net wealth can be compelled to pay for those things that protect that wealth (defense, social stability, infrastructure). So far it looks like those folks are nothing but leeches.

13. That IS the argument - him stiffing the country and not paying his fair share. And, it IS

NOT about understanding the tax code - it is about lawyering up and fighting the states and municipalities until they forgive his tax burden.

Of course, that is on the state and local level. What is the mystery is how he could possibly pay no federal taxes. And, we won't know that without seeing them.

What doesn't make sense is if he pays no federal tax - how will he fix if he is lowering the corporate tax rate? Still means he pays no taxes.

9. His base will believe that. The rest of the country - laughing hysterically.

Donald can't win with his base alone. If he wants to continue to tweet such ridiculous things and have his campaign surrogates proclaim he's a genius, all I have to say is - please proceed Donald.

Fix the tax laws to his self-serving advantage. Hope someone actually asks him how he will fix them.
