You have to like our chances when we look twice as good in Indiana as they do in Missouri.

5. We need Net +4 (with a Democratic VP), right now we have Net +2

We'll easily win WI, Il and IN, but may lose Reid's seat in NV. We're leading (but close) in MO, PA, NH. We're trailing (but close) in NC and we're not doing well enough in FL and OH.

as a practical matter, republicans will clearly hold the house, so we're not passing anything constructive in congress.

the senate matters most for confirmations, though not for the supreme court, which republicans can filibuster.

we'll have the upper hand for nominations, which would prevent a right-wing justice; but republicans will insist on a compromise nominee.

that is, if they don't decide to just filibuster for the next four years, and i wouldn't put it past them....

I track about half-a-dozen project sites. While it is no way certain, the situation is close enough to say "yes" it is possible, especially if Trump continues to demoralize the right.

Kochs are spending heavily in NC to protect Burr and McCrory.

Blue state DUers, donate to help NC Dem Party to GOTV.

election, and only one side is running a full-fledged GOTV operation. That may not make a difference in OH where Strickland is getting stomped, but it could in NC or NH or NV.

And plan to donate to Deborah Ross soon. The differences between the Dem and Republican candidates are like day and night. The races seem to be winnable. I don't open my wallet very often for politicians -- there are too many family priorities -- but there seems to be a real opportunity that can materialize if enough small donors like me contribute.

11. I think we win WI, IL, NH and PA that will give us control with VP Kaine

If we lose NV we would need to pick up one of these: IN, NC, MO, FL--I think IN and NC are our best bets but I understand MO is closing and it is a fairly close race in FL too.
