Republicans Say Theyll Lodge Complaint on Clinton Lawyer Mills

Officials with the Republican National Committee say theyll lodge a complaint Monday with the District of Columbia Bar against one of Hillary Clintons attorneys and closest confidantes, the latest move to raise questions about what the GOP calls a cover-up over Clintons private e-mail system.
Raj Shah, the RNCs research director, said in a letter that Cheryl Mills violated a D.C. Bar rule by serving as one of Clintons attorneys during the FBIs investigation into whether the former secretary of state and her aides mishandled classified information. Mills was chief of staff when Clinton was secretary of state and later helped direct what turned out to be an incomplete handover of her work-related e-mail to the department.

The FBIs grant of immunity to Ms. Mills highlights the apparent conflict of interest in her representation of Secretary Clinton, Shah wrote in the letter obtained by Bloomberg News.
Representatives for Mills and for the Clinton campaign didnt immediately return requests for comment on Sunday. They have previously emphasized that the FBI found no cause to bring charges and no evidence of wrongdoing by Mills.

(137 posts)The GOP put all their eggs in one basket--Indict Hillary Clinton. That didn't work out so now they've set about to create a new narrative--The FBI let HRC and her people do whatever they wanted to do to protect her. I hate Republicans, I really do.
