2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumRachel Maddow just read a litany of events that Bernie is doing for Clinton this week.
He did four events in Wisconsin today and will be doing three in Michigan. Senator Sanders is a stand-up guy and true to his word.
Kudos and thanks.

(5,045 posts)The President and First Lady are out there as is Joe Biden and of course former President Clinton. If I remember right - even Al Gore is hitting the campaign trail. It's a full court press and I am grateful for each and every one of them working to elect the first woman President.

(9,527 posts)Sanders isn't stupid. He knows that for his differences with Clinton, they pale compared to his differences with Trump. Sanders also has a much better chance of passing legislation that he favors with a Democratic president.
Coming off the campaign, I absolutely understand wanting to take time to relax, recharge, attend to things that were set aside while doing the 24/7 job of running for president and also finding where he can be most effective at rallying supporters (both his and others).

(58,785 posts)It was a good show all around. Her segment on The Atlantic's history and its three endorsements, of Abraham Lincoln -- to stop the spread of slavery, Lyndon Johnson -- to defeat Goldwater, and Hillary Clinton -- to defeat Trump, was really worth watching.
I've liked and valued The Atlantic for a long time, but not as much as I should have.
