Gary Johnson unable to name leader of North Korea in interview

Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson couldn't name the leader of North Korea

Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson drew a blank again.

In an interview with The New York Times published on Wednesday, Johnson skirted around a question about whether he could identify North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un.

When asked if he knew the name of the volatile leader, Johnson said, "I do."

When he was pressed further to identify the North Korean leader, Johnson appeared incredulous.

“You want me to name the person" Johnson responded. “Really.”

Yeah - If ever there was a phrase that exemplified FULL STOP for a campaign, it would be anything that had "tongue thing during an interview" in it.

and I don't say in a 'health conspiracy' type of way. I don't agree with much of what Johnson stands for (libertarianism) but he does seem like a good guy.

But even regular, non-educated people know many of the things he's drawing a blank on, couldn't even name a favorite world leader and bullshit his way through a question. Everyone knows the leader of North Korea, who is mocked all over the media, even on non-political comedy type of shows, etc.

Johnson was a governor, for crying out loud, all of this should be very basic stuff for him.

Something has to be wrong, e.g. alzheimers, dementia, etc.

I think it was Bill Hicks who said that habitual weed smoking doesn't make you unproductive or unmotivated. You can do everything you normally would do. You just realize that it's not worth the effort.

with word finding. I strongly suspect that's one of his problems.

Most people can cover up lack of knowledge by coughing up the detail or two "everyone" knows. He's blanking on the usual "common knowledge" that's so shallow it's not even worthy of the term.

And he also obviously is lacking any of the depth of knowledge in foreign affairs a presidential candidate should have.

Seems to me he's shed more than a few brain cells. Either that, or just like Trump, he has a wildly absurd lack of curiosity about international affairs.

They don't have much concern for things they don't see as directly affecting them. Because when one actually thinks of the real world and what to do to fix problems it's hard to be a libertarian.
