DU has been in full on panic/hysteria mode over Matthew. Who knew we had so many meteorologists. Nice to see some humor even during a serious situation.

Maybe he should come down here and watch over his estate.

Disney is even closing at 5 today and closed all day tomorrow. It is unprecedented.

Added to NRHP December 23, 1980
Designated NHL December 23, 1980

Mar-a-Lago is a landmark estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Built from 1924 to 1927 by Marjorie Merriweather Post and envisioned by her as a future winter retreat of US presidents.

Marjorie Merriweather Post built the house with her then-husband Edward F. Hutton. Post hired Marion Sims Wyeth to design the house, and Joseph Urban to create interior design and exterior decorations for the house.[9][10] Upon her death in 1973, Post willed the 17-acre (69,000 m2) estate to the U.S. Government as a retreat for presidents and visiting foreign dignitaries.[11] However, the mansion was not used for this purpose. The U.S. Government deeded it back to the Merriweather Post family. Mar-a-Lago was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1980.

Mar-a-Lago has frequently hosted the International Red Cross Ball, an annual white tie, tails, and tiara ball. Founded by Post, it has a history of attracting wealthy socialites and ambassadors from across the world in support of the mission of the American Red Cross.

It is a Cat 4/5 hurricane and many, many people are in its dangerous path.

Many other days and ways to bash Trump. This isn't one of them.

is very appropriate. He doesn't pay Fexeral taxes. Yet he will likely grab every bit of FEMA money he can. He can't help it. That is how greedy a bastard he is.

Unprecedented pretentious unpresidential psychopath. trumP.

after the storm has passed. Right now, the hurricane is just getting ready to pound everyone.

Ironic that the one religious quote from Sen. Kaine the other night was from the Gospel of Matthew: For out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks." Matthew 12:34

Totally spurious coincidence.

It actually sits between the Ocean and the intracoastal waterway. It is fairly high above the water so I doubt that it will be impacted by storm surge.
