Reid to GOP: Drop 'sociopath' TrumpBy Jordain Carney October 07, 2016, 09:19 pm
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) pleaded with Republicans on Friday night to drop their support of Donald Trump, arguing the future of the country and their party depend on it.
For the good of the country, I hope that my Republican colleagues do not try to circle the wagons around a man who brags about sexually assaulting women," Reid said in a statement. "In the name of decency, Republicans should admit that this deviant this sociopath cannot be president."
He added that "never in history has a party nominated someone more unfit to be president.

Now, if the Repugs should decide to dump Drumpf, they'll be seen as knuckling-under to Democrats. Therefore, to prevent giving the impression of weakness, they have no choice but to go down with the R.M.S. Trumptanic.

Yes, the Republicans are sleazy but it was the people - a small percentage of them, but the people nonetheless - who gave this slimeball the nomination. The party didn't do it, the people did. That will continue to scare me for a long time.
