The monster that is Trump is the one that the GOP brought home and now it will ruin them.

If Trump stays in the race he will lose in a landslide and the senate might go blue.
About 25% of the GOP are not happy w/Trump and will they go and vote if
Trump stays in the race?

If Trump drops out then his base supporters* (the deplorable racists) will stay home
and Trump will lose in a landslide, the senate, will go blue, and the house will be in
play.

If he drops out, his base will still vote for him, and probably leave the rest of the ballot empty Siwsan Oct 2016 #1

Especially if the Republicans on that ballot pulled their endorsement.

I think Trump dropping out will hurt the down ticket republicans more
because by now it should be clear that to Trump's real supporters it does
not matter what he says or does they will still support him but if he is
forced out many of them (Trumpheads) might very well stay home.

One way or another Trump is toxic to the GOP.

The GOP really is like the party of Frankenstein, and Trump is the monster they created.
