I know must of us don't watch press conferences, but Trump runs informercials during them. It would harm his income to ever admit defeat. It's better for him to keep his basket full even if he has no chance of winning.

3. His brand is badly damaged at this point no matter what.

The deplorables won't be enough to keep his already-depressed hotel bookings up, or to prop up sales of Trump-branded merchandise.

I have a suspicion that part of the reason Trump ran for president was that he was already, behind the scenes, in deep financial trouble. Becoming president was his Hail, Mary attempt to cash in on all of the lucrative opportunities being president would provide him.

Plan to create some sort of alt right alternative to Fox news network.
