He is the type of Republican that is a racist, sexist 1950s asshole but everything is done in dog whistles so the masses can tolerate him. The evangelicals will come out in force to elect him, especially if he has Ryan as VP.

I think it is to late, but I don't trust them. I won't sleep until November 9th.

He's terrifying because there's a 'socially acceptable' veneer covering his racism, sexism and homophobia.

Or is this just starting to make the rounds? Sad, that a lot of Americans aren't disgusted by this.

You're talking about the guy who couldn't even manage to call David Duke deplorable. You're talking about a guy who signed a law allowing discrimination towards the LGBT community. You're taking about a guy that issued a racist and illegal executive order barring state agencies from disbursing federal funds to support Syrian refugees.

misogynists , fits in so well with the likes of drumpf and those republicans who support him - they could have stopped it years ago, yet, they continue to malign all races and women..except the white nationals - superiority, as they call themselves..

We MUST put a stop to the hate...

The night was dark and drizzly/
The air was full of sleet/
The old man joined the Ku Klux/
And Ma she lost her sheet;

Billy Sunday is a preacher/
His church is always full/
For the neighbors gather from miles around/
To hear him shoot the bull;

The monkey swings by the end of his tail/
And jumps from tree to tree/
There may be monkey in some of you guys/
But there ain't no monkey in me.

Chorus: There ain't no bugs on me (2x)/
There may be bugs on some of you mugs/
But there ain't no bugs on me.

In the 1920s, the Ku Klux Klan attained great influence in the Southeast and Midwest; it took a certain courage to make fun of them in public.

I got in a whole heep of trouble as a teen-ager for standing in line to desegregate a lunch counter at Woolworth's. Pence's Dad may explain WHY Pence is a racist, but it doesn't explain THAT he is a racist today. He's a grown man, a lawyer, a governor, and knows the law. He just doesn't like the law that gives all of us equal rights before the law.

I'm much more afraid of Pence than of Trump, because Pence is a Christian dominionist. Trump has no beliefs, except in himself. Whereas Pence is a true believer, who wants to impose his religious beliefs on everyone else and turn this country into a theocracy.

I know. I still struggle with how I was raised 60 years ago. It's taken a conscientious effort to recognize the symptoms, and a lifetime of diligent work over a to overcome the world views of my family and growing up in a whole community of like minded racist, prejudiced people. Out of the dozens of people in my immediate family and relatives, I'm the only one that has even tried to break the chain of hate.

So, just from my own experience, I question that Pence's views on race are unchanged. From the laws and policies he's voiced agreement with, I don't see that he has escaped his past.
