It’s ‘Total Bulls**t’ That Trump’s ‘Apprentice’ Tapes Can’t Be Released, Says Media Mogul
Billionaire IAC Chairman Barry Diller made the comment to Politico.

It’s “total bullshit” that producers can’t release tapes from Donald Trump’s reality show “The Apprentice” for contractual reasons, says billionaire media mogul Barry Diller.

“There are no legal obligations,” the IAC chairman told Politico Playbook in an interview published Wednesday. “To who? For what? I mean, the legal obligations are they own the copyright. They can do whatever they want with it.”

On Oct. 7, an unaired clip of Trump’s 2005 visit to “Access Hollywood” upended the GOP presidential nominee’s campaign. It captured Trump bragging to host Billy Bush that he could kiss and grab women without their consent because “when you’re a star, they let you do it.”

NBC is choosing to make themselves look pretty darned bad - even worse than already. But then, if more people knew exactly what was on those tapes, they might look pathetic for not cancelling the show, and verifying that it really was all about the money.

Whether there would be grounds, or not, you know Trump would fire up the law suit machine.

Mark Burnett says he cannot release 'Apprentice' tapes
by Dylan Byers @CNNMoney October 11, 2016: 9:12 AM ET

The creator of "The Apprentice" says he does not have the legal ability to release footage from the show, denying reports that he is intentionally blocking the release of footage that may harm Donald Trump.

The statement from Burnett and MGM, which owns his company, comes two days after BuzzFeed News reported that Burnett had privately threatened to sue staff if they leaked tapes to the press -- a claim Burnett and MGM also denied.

Politics aside I thought he didn't want to screw-up what he had going with his rich old pal.

Besides being against the terms of service, you would think that folks (at least from our side) would have a little more sensitivity around here given the current political environment.

Trump is not shy about suing people, and he would certainly sue Burnett over this.
