How is this "scorched earth" strategy of Trump's supposed to suppress?

I just don't get how this is going to help him?

Does he think if he takes it to the gutter that people will stay home?

look for trump to become some kind of right wing media champion after the election if he loses. wouldnt be surprised to see some network of his pop up.
