I will vote for the candidate most likely to help move the country in a progressive direction. I will not be throwing my vote away on some hapless third-party candidate as a protest. That will not help elect the better of the two candidates who can win.
My conscience won't let me harm people just to satisfy some need to send a message. And it's abundantly clear that a failure of Hillary Clinton to win will harm millions of people. My conscience thinks beyond my own opinions and priorities. My conscience always considers the best outcome for the most people.
That's something that I was taught by my parents at a very early age. They taught me not to just think about how what I did would affect me as an individual, but to consider how my actions would affect everyone. They taught me to act in ways that benefited others, rather than just myself.
So, my conscience won't let me vote for anyone but Hillary Clinton, nor avoid my responsibility to vote.
See you at the polling place!

(3,063 posts)I voted for the most qualified, experienced and intelligent candidate. None of the other candidates come even close to Hillary. Hillary is the only solid choice in this election.

(146,284 posts)Good people, too, all around. I look forward to our daily phone call each afternoon. They live in California, while I live in Minnesota. Fortunately, my two siblings live in the same town they do, so I don't worry so much. I'm here because my wife's mother is here. We moved to help her and her late father, back in 2004.
Our parents gave us so much when we were children. We owe them so much. Too soon, they will no longer be with us.

What benefits others usually benefits us as well.
