WikiLeaks puts Clinton adviser Benenson on notice

By Joe Uchill - 10/23/16 10:19 AM EDT

WikiLeaks implied Sunday that it will leak information on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's chief campaign strategist, Joel Benenson.

"@benensonj We have a surprise for you #JBSurprise," said the tweet to Benenson, using the same "surprise" language WikiLeaks used last week when it put Democratic National Committee interim Chairwoman Donna Brazile and vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine on notice last week.

WikiLeaks also repeated a threat in a tweet at Kaine and NBC's "Meet the Press," saying, "@MeetThePress @timkaine We have a surprise for @TimKaine #TKSurprise." On "Meet the Press," Kaine addressed an email purportedly from the John Podesta breach that said Kaine was notified of his vice presidential nomination in 2015.

“The one that referred to me is flat-out incorrect," said Kaine.

WikiLeaks is still reeling from a week of bad news. Last week, the Ecuadorian Embassy in London shut off founder Julian Assange's internet access.

They made themselves irrelevant with trying to interfere in our election. If they are so objective and without agenda then why have they not released anything on Trump?

I don't see any reason to believe anything they say at this point. They rely extensively on Russian hackers' fabrications and "enhancements."

Nobody knows Benenson and I cannot imagine Kaine being susceptible to much of anything. His good name exceeds anything short of hookers and blow...actually it might exceed hookers and blow.

If they had anything they would have killed Clintons campaign months ago, now its kind of too late.

This is all about interfering and messing about.

They should be a proscripted organisation and Twitter ought to have them banned.

I look forward to with a Clinton win on 11/8 is pissing off all these hackers who have tried to throw a wrench into our election and who think that they have so much influence. They only go after Democrats, and never after Republicans or any of the 3rd party candidates. They have a vendetta against her (and Obama), and are trying incredibly hard to help her main rival. If she wins, they'll really lose their minds. They won't know what to do with themselves.

has shown that the Clinton campaign is pretty squeaky clean. After building up this idea that she's the most corrupt candidate ever, THIS is their proof?!

People who are honest with themselves can't seriously argue that there are any bombshells in those emails.

obvious doing this one sided and so no one should pay any attention so long as they don't do it to Republicans.
