"I love the smell of democracy in the morning!"
Early voting opened in Florida today. I arrived at the polling place an hour early, sat in my car listening to Fall Out Boy, and playing Bookworm on my iPod. Ended up 8th in line and felt absolutely giddy marking my ballot. Cannot tell you how unusual that is for a Monday morning!
I must have had some grin on my face when I turned in my ballot because the poll worker chuckled and said, "you're in a very good mood this morning." I responded, "I love the smell of democracy in the morning!" She howled and said "I love your attitude, have a great day."
I just voted for the next president of the United States. I am going to have an excellent day!
