Registered voters in the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (Metro) service area are encouraged to hop on board METRO at no charge for a ride to the polls.

Free local bus, MetroRail and MetroLift paratransit service for voters will be available Saturday, Oct. 29 and Friday, Nov. 4 for early voters and on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8. The free rides are offered from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Voters should inform bus operators or fare inspectors they are going to or returning from the polls in order to receive the free rides.

To plan your trip visit Metro's website. Riders may also contact METRO's Customer Care Team at 713-635-4000 for more information.

There is also a statewide voter protection program in place. If any attorney wants to sign up, go to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScZAiZj4lLiXPvRHlklQ8ULmxE0Sb03-B-W_CKQ_kwZl-NGxw/viewform?c=0&w=1 and sign up
