I believe I have voted almost exclusively for Democrats since Reagan. Of course, most states eliminated the straight ticket check box because it benefitted Democrats.

I carefully study all the non-partisan races and judge retention questions. If it's two dueling Republicans I skip the race. That's true in the Miami mayoral race this year. The incumbent is more conservative than his female challenger but both are Republican. I won't bother.
Unfortunately most of the judges here were appointed by GOP governors. They'll be retained by huge margin but I'll be No.
