Fox host trumpets ‘good news’ in Ohio: ‘White share of the vote is up’ but ‘black share is down’

Fox News host Bill Hemmer called it “good news” that more whites were casting votes in Ohio while “the black share of the vote is down.”

On Tuesday, Hemmer found a silver lining for Republicans in the midst of national polls showing Donald Trump significantly behind Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“I’m looking at early voting,” Hemmer told RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer. “You have good news in Ohio, white share of the vote is up 3 points from four years ago, black share of the vote is down 7.”

For his part, Spicer ignored the racial demographics and focused on the GOP’s lead in absentee ballots, which usually show an advantage for Republicans. “Our people are coming out,” Spicer said.

1. Ohio is the new Missouri

A bellwether state that is trending red, but won't matter in the end. It has lost its importance. Republicans must win the state, but Democrats can afford to lose it.

African American Churches work very hard on "souls to the polls." Although
Ohio's Sec. of State Husted has worked hard to limit early voting and we might
not have a "souls to the polls" Sunday but people are working on voter turn out
in OH.

3. The population centers of the state will go to HRC. Columbus though probably won't.

Add in the white college educated and other men that aren't stupid in the rest of the state, then add in the females in the rest of the state, and Trump is in trouble.

4. Columbus will go solid for HRC

Trump will be lucky to run 50% among the white men in suburban Columbus too.

Rural Ohio holds some people who are as racist and bigoted as anyplace in
America and they will vote Trump.


Non college educated white males are Trump's firewall. Lots of those people aren't registered
to vote too.
