Man Arrested For Wearing 'Basket Of Deplorables' Shirt At Texas Polling Place

A Texas man was arrested Monday for electioneering after refusing to hide his “Basket of Deplorables” T-shirt.

“He wanted to take a stand,” Bulverde Police Chief Gary Haecker told the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung of Brett Mauthe, who showed up to his polling place with a Trump hat and “Basket of Deplorables” T-shirt. “Unfortunately, he was arrested.”

Mauthe told local TV station KSAT that he removed his Trump hat but refused to turn his T-shirt inside-out, saying he was unaware it constituted a violation of the election code.

in any legal action (they've supported people arrested for wearing a shirt with a candidate's name on it in the
past) and as his shirt wasn't even featuring a specific candidate's name I think he'd have an excellent chance of winning.

that don't claim to be bigots are acting like she put them in that basket to. I bet if one of these reporters followed up with the statement, "Oh, so you're a bigot.", they would rethink their position (or they just wouldn't get it).
