Michael Moore Shares 'TrumpLand' Clips to Stop Its Pro-Trump Perception

Michael Moore is self-distributing his latest film Michael Moore in TrumpLand, in which he tells Ohio residents to vote against Donald Trump. However, an audio clip has been cleverly edited and is circulating as a pro-Trump title, noted Snopes.com. Moore even tweeted of the misconception: "I can't keep taking Trump's voters $$. Folks, your leader has deceived u again: 'Michael Moore In TrumpLand' is a funny love poem to Hillary."

Toward the end of the film, Moore admits his understanding of why people might be inclined to vote for the Republican presidential candidate. "He's saying the things to people who are hurting, and that's why every beaten-down, nameless, forgotten working stiff who used to be part of what was called the middle class loves Trump. He is the human Molotov Cocktail that they've been waiting for; the human hand grenade that they can legally throw into the system that stole their lives from them. ... The dispossessed will walk into the voting booth, be handed a ballot, close the curtain, and take that lever or felt pen or touchscreen and put a big fucking X in the box by the name of the man who has threatened to upend and overturn the very system that has ruined their lives: Donald J Trump. ... Trump's election is going to be the biggest fuckyou ever recorded in human history and it will feel good."

The speech actually goes on to note that, like Brexit voters, those who vote for Trump in this way will come to regret their decisions. "You used the ballot as an anger management tool, and now you're fucked," he says. "When the rightfully angry people of Ohio and Michigan and Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin find out after a few months in office that President Trump wasn't going to do a damn thing for them, it will be too late to do anything about it. But I get it: you wanted to send a message, you had righteous anger, and justifiable anger. Well, message sent. Goodnight America. You've just elected the last president of the United States."

Moore has released this full clip, "the actual end to that scene in my film Michael Moore In TrumpLand, the end Trump doesn't want you to see," he said. Watch it below.

Moore also shared another clip in which he outlines exactly why some men fear Clinton and love Trump.

but I've always hated the line "You've just elected the last president of the United States." or anything similar.

The sky isn't falling.

Trump isn't winning and even if he somehow defied mathematics and managed to win our Party is more than strong enough to stonewall his BS and force him to play ball.

We are the most successful Political Movement in history and I'll be damned if one man is going to upend us.

Trump is a bad joke, always has been, always will be and he's going to go down with every other loser in history.

Come "fact check" me on this post on November 8th 2016 and November 8th 2020.

Here’s what TrumpLand really is: a quiet, personal and sympathetic plea to vote for Hillary Clinton, aimed at people who don’t like her. The film’s viral success on conservative websites means it’s doing a pretty good job (even if the message on those sites is truncated). In typical Michael Moore-fashion, the filmmaker is trying to reach the autoworkers, laid-off manufacturing employees, and the rest of the disenfranchised middle class with a message about why the former first lady is the country’s best choice for president.

But while he’d probably be happy to sway a few Trump voters, residents of TrumpLand aren’t the target audience. The movie primarily takes aim at the Bernie-or-bust and Jill Stein contingents.

Moore’s attempts to persuade revolve around not how terrible Trump is, but about how much he admires Hillary Clinton. Speaking against a backdrop of black-and-white photos of the young candidate, he talks about her campaigns for women’s rights and her work on expanding access to health care, among other liberal projects.

I think it changed the minds of some in the audience.

Michael had people laughing.

Michael had people crying.

It was excellent.
