11 days before the election.
This is his October surprise. Someone better do the oppo drop on Trump pronto.
He needs to be fired in the next administration.
Letter to his buddy Chafetz here:

(1,384 posts)The letter doesn't specifically state they're reopening the investigation into her server though. It seems, from their wording at least, to be tied to an unrelated case.

The content of the letter is immaterial--it's the headlines that count--and this is ALL the media is going to be talking about.
This is going to depress her vote total and knock 2 points off her final margin.
Comey is a vile Republican hack and needs to go pronto in the next administration.

(35,694 posts)He wants to make sure that Republicans cannot accuse him of covering up anything so he had to tell them about this. Timing is unfortunate, though to say the least.

(5,255 posts)There's really no need to panic. The number of American voters who are going to change their minds about this probably numbers around 1,000. The reach of cable news is vanishingly small.
Most people have made up their mind about this election and many have already voted. The election is, in fact, essentially over.
Again: no need for concern. It will all be fine.
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)Clinton's ground game was already underperforming in those states compared to Obama in 2012. This seals it.
It may make North Carolina and New Hampshire more competitive.
This is really fucking bad.
DarthDem
(5,255 posts). . . you have a tendency toward drama.
Ohio and Iowa are not "gone." New Hampshire won't be competitive at all; it's in the bag for Clinton. And North Carolina is going to vote for Hillary Clinton, but even if it doesn't, it's a gravy state.
I know you are intelligent enough to comprehend all this, so I have to wonder if you just need to vent when things make you anxious, or if you have some other agenda. If it's the former, may I suggest calming down and letting your critical thinking take over?
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)Clinton was already at best 50/50 to win Iowa and Ohio. Her ground game has been completely ineffective in those states--being outperformed by Trump's ground game, which doesn't exist.
Those states are gone now.
DarthDem
(5,255 posts)You just keep carrying on. Since you're not answering me substantively, and keep making melodramatic, stentorian pronouncements that are completely divorced from reality, my theory about you being some chaos agent is looking more and more accurate.
geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)Her numbers dove sharply when Comey gave his press conference earlier this year.
The FBI is intentionally creating the impression--a false one--that there's been evidence of guilt uncovered.
Comey needs to go after the election. And there needs to be a 100% ban on Republican appointees going forward.

I have no idea why Obama put a Republican in charge of the FBI. What the hell?
The difference in how HRC and trump are being treated officially and in the media is unbelievable....and I feel powerless and hopeless. What happened to my America of before 2000? It is now a "gotcha" country but only for mostly on the good guys.
