(2,367 posts)Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. There are ten days until the election and the tide is turning against Comey.

(9,600 posts)He did this on purpose to move the football toward the GOP's goal. If he transforms the FBI into a partisan public institution , Comey is ready to take the political heat. This was a hail mary by the GOP and Comey knows it.

(58,785 posts)It's not over until it's over. And we do not know how America will respond. Dirty tricks often backfire on the Republicans.

(898 posts)I think this fires up people who weren't voting Clinton or Democratic anyway. My only hope is fires up people who may have been complacent about the Clinton victory.

each of these races is so hard too call, and each one is pretty different from the next
New Hampshire Senate - Ayotte vs. Hassan
was uptrend for Ayotte
RCP Average 10/17 - 10/25 -- 48.0 45.3 Ayotte +2.7
Emerson 10/23 - 10/25 600 LV 50 44 Ayotte +6

UMass Amherst/WBZ* 10/17 - 10/21 772 LV 48 44 Ayotte +4
Pennsylvania Senate - Toomey vs. McGinty
was uptrend for McGinty
I detest the pig Toomey, he is a fucking bigot
RCP Average 10/10 - 10/26 -- -- 45.7 45.3 McGinty +0.4
Emerson 10/25 - 10/26 550 LV 4.1 45 43 McGinty +2
NY Times/Siena 10/23 - 10/25 824 LV 3.4 47 44 McGinty +3
Quinnipiac 10/10 - 10/16 660 LV 3.8 45 49 Toomey +4
Nevada Senate - Heck vs. Cortez Masto
was uptrending for Masto, until the Marist poll (which is the highest rated by 538 of these, slammed it reverse)
impossible to say who will win, I will project my obvious desire and say Masto
RCP Average 10/20 - 10/25 -- -- 45.0 44.5 Cortez Masto +0.5
Gravis 10/25 - 10/25 875 RV 3.3 50 44 Cortez Masto +6
NBC/WSJ/Marist 10/20 - 10/24 707 LV 3.7 42 49 Heck +7

North Carolina Senate - Burr vs. Ross

PPP (D)* 10/21 - 10/22 875 LV 3.3 42 41 Burr +1
Indiana Senate - Young vs. Bayh
deffo trending up for Young, grrr
less than 90 days ago Bayh was up over 20 points
this one is my biggest disappointment, but Indiana is full of racist loon RW bible bangers, the Bayh name might not save him
RCP Average 10/3 - 10/24 -- -- 44.5 40.8 Bayh +3.7
Gravis* 10/22 - 10/24 596 LV 2.3 39 37 Bayh +2
WISH-TV 10/10 - 10/16 544 LV 4.8 49 43 Bayh +6
Monmouth* 10/11 - 10/13 402 LV 4.9 48 42 Bayh +6
WTHR/Howey Politics* 10/3 - 10/5 600 LV 4.0 42 41 Bayh +1
Missouri Senate - Blunt vs. Kander
Another reallllly hard call
This is THE race I most disagree (mainly with the size of the % for victory he gives Kander) with Nate Silver on (61% in a red state where Clinton is dropping)
Blunt has been consistently ahead until a couple semi new polls (one was a large outlier in favour of Kander)
now it seems dead tie
my heart says Kander wins, my head says Blunt (gag)
RCP Average 10/9 - 10/26 -- -- 45.7 44.7 Blunt +1.0
St. Louis Post-Dispatch 10/24 - 10/26 625 LV 4.0 47 46 Blunt +1
Emerson 10/17 - 10/19 600 LV 3.9 44 44 Tie
Monmouth* 10/9 - 10/11 406 LV 4.9 46 44 Blunt +2
All in all ( I was, a month ago at Dems 53, ReThugs 47, then a week ago Dems 51, Thugs 49)
I think it looks like (gun to my head and taking into account bullshit fallout from Comey ratfuckery)
New Hampshire Senate - Ayotte vs. Hassan Ayotte
Pennsylvania Senate - Toomey vs. McGinty McGinty
Nevada Senate - Heck vs. Cortez Masto Cortez Masto
North Carolina Senate - Burr vs. Ross Burr
Indiana Senate - Young vs. Bayh Bayh
Missouri Senate - Blunt vs. Kander Blunt
which leaves a 50/50 tie
all are soooo close, we NEED TO GOTV!!!!!!!!!!!!

(14,564 posts)It would be ideal to be at least at 51-49, but as you laid out, the margins are so thin this bullshit could derail it.

(68,555 posts)clearly demonstrate this. But who cares? This is a nothing issue and all the breathless concern and pearl clutching (faux) won't change that nor will those of you who have a different purpose succeed. We see those who support Sec. Clinton and we see those who do not...quite obvious really. So I am with her and sincerely hope we take Congress...I think we will get the Senate. The House was always a longshot. Enjoy your 'concern'..hey here is my fainting couch.

(68,555 posts)Negative would be an understatement. There are some here, perhaps not you, who are not supporting Hillary Clinton and they skirt the rules and post constantly negative stuff. We see it almost every day...many post OP's about their efforts at JPR...there was one who did about five posts last night.

(7,675 posts)two, Clinton will be under no obligation to play nice and appoint another Republican to the position of FBI Director
Comity is meaningless to the Republicans Reach across the aisle and you get your hand cut off for your trouble
I also suspect he contaminated the prosecution of the Maleur 7 in order to lose the case
Meanwhile natives in North Dakota get mauled as usual by the racist Feds

Say it with me: Trump is too erratic to be President.
