As dissatisfied as some are with Schumer, if we get the majority, and Schumer becomes the Majority Leader, any attempt by republicans to block all SC appointments, the rules WILL CHANGE. This is for the direction of the SC for the next 20 years, and the Democrats will stand together on this.

From Richard Burr's Wiki page:
Burr's father, a minister, said that Burr is a 12th cousin of Aaron Burr, the former Vice-President, Senator, lawyer, and Continental Army officer known most for killing Founding Father Alexander Hamilton in an 1804 duel. He is the first Burr in the Senate since Aaron Burr served as the Senator from New York—and only the second person with his last name to win election to Congress (the first being the presumably unrelated Albert G. Burr)—since Aaron. Sen. Burr himself has stated that there are no longer any direct descendants of Aaron Burr, and that he descends from Aaron's brother. However, it is more likely that Senator Burr is descended from the brother of Aaron's father as biographies of Aaron Burr state that he had only an older sister, that his parents died young and they were raised by his father's brother.

as Dems already have a natural electoral advantage which only increases (see: close polling in states like TX, GA, AZ, etc) with each presidential election.

McConnell has already stated that whomever wins this election should fill the open seat.

Also remember, that the GOP is a party in meltdown, the election only obscures this, once Trump loses it will be all out warfare, and they will present relatively weak opposition.

Hillary and Schumer (who are much tougher than Obama) know this, and will move in for the kill. They also saw how the Obama's attempts at bipartisanship only got him obstructionism, Tea Party and birtherism - and are not going to play nice like he did.

D's are flipping a lot of R seats, if the current polling is true, Dems will have majority control of the Senate. We are walking away with IL, IN, WI and PA. NH looks strong too at 58% chances on 538 as of right now. That's a net gain of 5.

NC has been flipping around this election, and Ross has been stronger than Burr expected. His statement in the OP is pure red meat throwing desperation. If Hillary's coat tails are long, and she takes NC like the polls say, Ross should do fine.

Senators take an Oath of Office, to protect and defend the Constitution,
and faithfully execute their duties. By refusing to do their sworn duty (on
the Bible, btw) they are subverting the Constitution and refusing to
acknowledge the outcome of an election. Senators' powers are derived
from the people, not the other way around.

Impeach these people. They are in the wrong line of work.
