influence the election.

Of course that is obvious from his actions, and directly disobeying the AG recommendations.

However, because of what the jackass FBI Director did, to intentionally imply wrong doing and associations that were NOT even involved, I think inferring a Russian connection with Comey is only fair game. Whether it is true or not is immaterial, because of that assholes behavior

on Trump's startlingly many links with the Kremlin (and how easy he is to sucker).

After all, Comey had no trouble breaking with protocol and usual practices when he opened his report to Congress with his lengthy personal opinion that HRC had been "extremely careless" with her emails, only later stating what the FBI director was supposed to report: No crime found, no obstruction of justice in the process of investigation.

Regarding just the latest link, from the NYT:

a mysterious computer back channel between the Trump Organization and the Alfa Bank, which is one of Russia’s biggest banks and whose owners have longstanding ties to Mr. Putin.
"No clear link" perhaps, Mr. Comey, but how about an overflowing deplorable basket of highly questionable associations?
