2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhat TV Channel will you be watching on Election night?
My husband wants to watch CNN, I don't care much but would probably watch MSNBC if I were watching by myself. Definitely NOT Fox News .....

(7,113 posts)Tweety just isn't tolerable without KO there to smack him down.
Nowadays, though, they seem to send Tweety off to the hinterlands somewhere on election and debate nights. Methinks Brian and Rachel have trouble tolerating him at close range, as well.

(1,208 posts)He was jealous of Rachel
JaneQPublic
(7,113 posts)At his debate post-game shows, he struck me as being exceptionally rude and dismissive of her, even for him.
I can understand his jealousy of Joy, since she does "hardball" for real, actually fact-checking and interrogating lying and BS-ing pols, not just interrupting and yammering at them, the way Tweety does.

(7,113 posts)But if MSNBC bosses have a brain in their head, she will be. She is the channel's most popular rising star, and for good reason.
I checked their website but couldn't find and info on election night staffing.

(9,895 posts)I will begin drinking heavily at 5 PM CST or as soon as I get home from casting my vote.
I will then begin drinking a shot of Jagermeister every time I hear someone say "pussy" again.
I figure that by 5:30 PM I will either pass out or vomit and THEN pass out...so I will learn the final victory margin on the 9th with same ice water and Advil.
Divine Discontent
(21,056 posts)well, I hope you don't make yourself ill, but, hey, drinking after voting sounds like a noble act to me, LOL. I almost don't think I'll be able to watch the TV til someone tells me to go ahead and look at the (hopeful) good news.
Arkansas Granny
(31,484 posts)I assume it will be Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff providing coverage along with some of their regular contributors.
MineralMan
(146,192 posts)I'll watch most of it in bed, where the TV is on an antenna. The CBS affiliate is the most reliable station.
PBS's coverage (TPT where I am) is OK, but often behind other networks, time-wise. I might switch to the local TPT station from time to time, though.

(10,419 posts)How did that tool ever get an anchor chair in the first place?
I'll give MSNBC a chance, though, because I really like Lawrence O'Donnell.

(21,056 posts)and less of Brian and Rachel. I love Rachel's heart and lib values, I just think she seems to miss the point sometimes, or explains things in far too much detail.

(12,448 posts)I'm an election judge on election day. They tell me we might be there wrapping up as late as 11pm (ET). It may not be that long, though, as I'm working in a small polling place. If I get out of there on time, I hope I can watch it when the election is called (for Hillary, of course!)
It's going to be an awesome night! Don't listen to the doomsayers; she's got this, and so do we!
