Susan Sarandon to the rest of us: Screw you. I'm endorsing Stein.

Actress and activist Susan Sarandon is backing Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein instead of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

In a letter published on Stein’s campaign website, Sarandon cites Clinton’s lack of support for a $15 minimum wage and her silence on the Dakota Access Pipeline as some of her reasons for not supporting the candidate.

“Fear of Donald Trump is not enough for me to support Clinton, with her record of corruption,” Sarandon’s letter reads. “Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience.”

Sarandon was a vocal champion of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) throughout the Democratic presidential primary, and was among his “Bernie or bust” supporters who said they likely wouldn’t back Clinton’s candidacy if the senator lost the primary.

She maintained this position long after Clinton was declared the winner in the delegate race, and protested at the Democratic National Convention alongside Sanders delegates upset with how the party committee had treated the senator.

The Jill Stein troglodytes I know are effete rich white people with steady jobs who live on the urban fringe. They do not know what it is like to struggle, and they have the gall to scream loudly (and I cannot stress that adverb enough -- they are fucking obnoxious) that their support for her is a form of social activism.

In reality, they are selfish old cocksplats who are pissed that progress is slow and they won't be alive to see all of it, and thus we all must suffer. They don't give a shit about the plight of people who aren't like them. Just like Republicans.

I could probably afford to be so arrogant.

Most of America is not that fortunate.

Nice of her to try and persuade voters with her voting her conscience. She could just vote her conscience and let it be her personal decision. No one was sitting around with bated breath waiting to hear what Susan suggests they do.

she's so fooking predictable.

Just like she voted for nader in 2000.. she's a millionaire who doesn't give a crap about those who might even die because of trump.

I'm one who won't even see her damn movies.. they're not all that anyway.

presidency. She is the poster child of white privilege

She won't have to worry about being deported, she has the means to travel anywhere she wants. She doesn't have to worry if Roe V Wade is overturned, or the civil rights act is thrown out the door. Health care isn't an issue for her, that is the "regular person's" problem.

Angela Davis, who has suffered through discrimination, racism, and sexism, is voting for Hillary.

Susan Sarandon is the "Maude" phony liberal

Maybe her and Jill Stein can enjoy high tea together.

When you're worth $50 million, you can afford to be that narrow. It won't hurt her one bit if Donald Trump were elected. The rest of us slobs who actually have to work for a living will be decimated.

Backing Tofu Palin is ridiculous on its face because she knows just as little as Gary Johnson and Donald Trump.

Whatever.

The ONLY reason this is news is that she's a sort of public figure.

The rest of us boring ordinary folks also have political opinions. We just don't get coverage in the media.

She's just all about hating Hillary Clinton, and would always find some issue on which to base her dumb decision.
