(9,589 posts)Almost leaderless. The FBI does seem to be unwilling to follow the financial clues to where the clues lead to. It is like their agents are being held back.

(2,573 posts)and then all of sudden it starts singing? It's outrageous and I'm calling the DOJ tomorrow to express my concern and outrage.

(1,208 posts)it appears many agents are going rogue in an attempt to throw the election to trump/diminish clinton's mandate. reports out that many agents are far right.
i do tend to agree with the suggestion that it might not necessarily be comey himself (though he certainly isn't looking clean in all of this), but rogue agents with a political agenda against the clintons that he cannot control. the entire body has been infected, not just the head. very troubling development for our nation if they continue to act in this manner. it is becoming clear that this is a witch hunt and a personal political vendetta.

(15,246 posts)Yes, it's civil service, but agents can be fired. Trust me, HR and mgt hold all the cards when it comes to employee discipline.

(2,573 posts)What the hell is going on. This should be the top story front page news.

(14,847 posts)There were also field agents who tried to warn people at the top about the 9/11 attacks, but the highest levels of the bureaucracy largely ignored them.

(13,749 posts)I'll check it regularly. The prospect of FBI agents pressing their own political agendas is terrifying, whether right or left. But, yes, way more terrifying from the right, as the FBI would be their favorite nesting place.
This thought started keeping me awake a couple of nights ago.

(13,749 posts)... start ordering Comey to transfer "rogue" agents to outer wherever? Assuming that going through a civil service firing process would be more trouble and newsworthy than it's worth. There's got to be a way to bring discipline to this organization.

It was worth all the good will he received from Republicans and the media by doing so as well.

Now, I don't think he is a spy. I went for some shock value. But I think it is VERY plausible that he (or many) may have been compromised.

(1,997 posts)I'm not one of those Democrats who ever thought he was being fair and impartial. His initial statement regarding Hillary's email investigation was completely biased, filled with blatant lies, and intended to get the exact response it did
wide media coverage and ultimate exposure casting her as "reckless".
No one ever bothers to notice that he walked most of the statements back during his congressional testimony (under oath). He knew an initial press conference-like statement was the only way to get his biased views across in an unfiltered manner.
