Sue Mintner is an outstanding Democrat running for Governor against the current Republican LT Gov Phil Scott, who has better name recognition. Leahy is doing some rallies with her this week. It is a very close race and it is important to Vermont that the rock star Senator help her, which he is doing. http://www.sevendaysvt.com/OffMessage/archives/2016/10/27/bernie-sanders-schedules-more-rallies-with-minter-zuckerman

Needless to say, Leahy is not in any danger of losing.

She doesn't need to try to BE Bernie(and it was never any expectation that she would), but she does need to make sure the young know that THEY will have a voice in what she does(which was what was supposed to happen after the 2008 result, but was stopped from happening for some indefensible reason).

There is little if anything in Bernie's message she should be distancing herself from at this stage.

This last weekend is about passion, not looking "safe". Safety and blandness can only mean defeat.
