When a media release is on a Friday (like last weeks), is it generally considered to amplify the effect or attenuate it?

(52,190 posts)it's just that they report the story at a time when people are more focused on weekend plans and activities, maybe even a bit of travel.
so people tend not to focus on the story. come monday, when they are ready to focus, it's old news already.

(35,699 posts)Wed often a slow news day - no government reports, etc. You want it early enough in the day so it makes it into the evening political chitchat. And bombshells on Wed dominate the news the rest of the week right into the Sunday talk fests.
