Sure sounds like there are rogue agents high on Trumpism in there.

I've never held FBI in high esteem--- notwithstanding the good and honest agents out there.

The FBI basically veered from its original anti-organized crime mission, and conceived of its job as more fighting "Communist subversion" (i.e. the civil rights and anti-war movement) and the counterculture. What we're seeing here is just an echo of that time -- the FBI being a political-suppression agency rather than a crime-fighting force.

The J. Edgar Hoover stalking MLK thing turned me off to the FBI and all their wonderful Elliot Ness history.
