2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHey Rachael Maddow, when you were so sympathetic to Brent Baier when he appologized
for LYING about a pending indictment on Hillary, how it was an "honest mistake"
You are a fool Maddow. You are well aware of the network he works for, and you know this isn't the first time that fox has LIED, but you make excuses.

(1,060 posts)It is basically a propaganda technique.
The initial damage gets out and propagates but the correction has a lot less scope.
So, the damage is done.
Another 0.1% lost, here, another 0.1% there and soon enough you lose a state or a senate race.
I don't know why Maddow's supposed to be very intelligent...
Maybe it is book smart, but she seems to not any knowledge of how dirty politics his: lack of street smart.
Joy seems to have a lot more wit than her.
She seems to lack bite and street smart.

(8,166 posts)I thought what she did was honorable.
What I find annoying is that EVERY media outlet personality (except maybe Joy & Lawrence, though he was on the shit list until recently) is tossed under the bus whenever they don't tow the line as we see fit.

(1,060 posts)Not sure what changed but she's lost a step.
People change with time, not always for the best.
She's seemingly incredibly naive for someone who has dealt with politics for so long.
Knowing on public relations and propaganda techniques work should be well known to someone working in communication.
It is not just her, a lot of journalists seems to have missed the few communications classes on those subject.
Maybe they need a refresher course. That and a few courses on interview techniques.
For god sakes, "The View" has more hard hitting interviews than so called news programs!
That tells you how badly they've failed.
