Steve Schmidt Offers Trump Advice: Spend Some Serious Time Preparing A Concession Speech

Asked by Alex Witt what Trump needed to do this weekend, the political analyst said "I think they need to spend some serious time preparing a concession speech."

ALEX WITT, MSNBC: So given your vast experience, advising Republican campaigns, were you to be advising Donald Trump, what would you say? You've got to do this, this weekend. Is there anything?

STEVE SCHMIDT: Well, look. I think when you look at this -- when you look at where the race is right now, Hillary Clinton will be elected the 45th president of the United States. And so now it's time, particularly because of the rhetoric from Donald Trump, about the rigged election, about his assaults on the process by which we choose the leaders.

I think they need to spend some serious time preparing a concession speech. And being focused on initiating in a dignified manner the peaceful transition of power which takes place on January 20th.

fight the "theft" of his presidency. And that nasty crowd he's involved with include many of the same people who've used fake lawsuits and investigations to persecute Hillary for decades. He should have someone smart, if there is such a person at his disposal, to write a concession speech to help to restore a modicum of his reputation. His real problem is that his supporters cannot afford to stay at any of his properties!!!

That is a horrible way to end one's life and I would be very sympathetic if whe had not been a complete asshole his entire life. Unfortunately there seem to be millions of Americans you like old senile men who don't make a lick of sense. Nothing new about that. Apparently having a brain that is imploding before our eyes isn't a disqualifier for the most important job in the world.

10. My first thought was Trump Concession Speech is an oxymoron.

Can we just shorten that to Trump is a Moron?

I cannot imagine him being able to concede gracefully and in a positive manner for our country. Rigged, crooked, lawsuit and/or fraud will be in that speech. Who will he blame? His supporters, the RNC, and ??? In any case, no responsibility will be taken by him for his loss.

the illegitimacy of HRC's election. Trump is not going to become
