Last night was family movie night at my house. We watched "Dave" with Kevin Kline & Sigourney Weaver

It's difficult to persuade our daughters (ages 16 & 18) to sit still with us for ninety continuous minutes, but the occasional family movie night succeeds. My vote last night was for Airplane or American Graffiti, but my brilliant spouse chose "Dave" from 1993 and we all enjoyed it.

A bonus-- the plot served as a launching pad for discussion of how control is often wielded by unsuspected behind-the-scenes players (Frank Langella in "Dave&quot . I mentioned that seeing the many actual politicians of the early nineties in cameo roles saddened me, since elected officials these days are so inept and obstructive by comparison.

I DO recommend "Dave" if you're looking for a diversion over the next 48 hours, especially as a family experience (PG 13). It refreshed our perspective.
