Manners are very important in the deep red states.

Women especially demand manners in men. I am hoping women of the south reject Trump for that reason. This is the greatest year for women in my lifetime. Women will save our country. I love it. Thank you all...

more then social etiquette in the South. A person can not know their salad fork from a dessert fork, but still considered to be mannerly if they treat others with respect, are gracious, humble, etc. They may wipe their nose on their sleeve, but be considered more mannerly than Letitia Baldridge and Emily Post because of their compassion and decency, and efforts to put others at ease.

Trump may know how to behave at the table dressed in white tie. But he is lacking in manners because he intentionally works at making other people uncomfortable, embarrassed, like they are unworthy, blaming others for his failures, etc. A gentleman wouldn't treat others this way.
