Question about late campaign donations

I gave money to the Clinton campaign again today, and my repeat contribution to the DSCC will process tomorrow.

Do these late contributions actually go to pre-election activities, or am I being suckered?

there's often a lot of debt that has to be paid off. And much of it goes into a campaign fund that can be used for other candidates.
