2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI am fairly confident about the results tomorrow. Robby Mook has done magnificent job
I just finished reading The Boys in the Boat about the 9 young men from Washington University who along with Jesse Owens were victorious in the '36 Berlin Olympics predicting the fall of the 3rd Reich. The heart of an 8 oar boat is the smallest member, the coxswain. The cox for this crew that overcame so much to take the gold was Bobby Moch. His resourcefulness, intelligence and confidence in his mates rubbed Hitler's face in the poo of defeat.
The names of Mook and Moch brought them together in my mind. Neither Mook or Moch could've done such a great job with out our great candidate and the 8 intrepid men on the oars - can't have one without the other.
Between this book and this election I am filled with the emotions that comes from believing that "hopey changie thang" is to continue to propel us through troubled waters to progressive victory.

(12,157 posts)I am so pleased that Robby has ran such a clean campaign. The difference between Sec Clinton's campaign and 'Rump's was plain at the conventions and following. It makes me proud that we don't hire people like Karl Christian Rove and Lee Atwater to cloud the minds of the people with fear and hate.

Extremely competent, smart strategy, great ads, solid, broad, organized ground game.
At least as viewed from the outside, he's managed to keep staff-infighting-drama out of the picture, and keep everyone focused on the goal.
Whenever the latest poll starts to freak me out, I remember his great operation, and calm down.
THANK YOU, Robby Mook.
