The invisible problem that everybody knew was there but nobody wanted to face. Automation.

Those small towns that lost their steel plant and 2500 jobs know that the steel plant may come back but it would only need about 25 jobs to make twice as much product.

They also know that they are not going to make a transition to become a techie.

On Nov 4, Elon Musk hit the nail on the head; "Robots will take your jobs, government will have to pay your wage".

Musk is also a totally no regulation person but he is right on this issue and we need to stop labeling anyone with a different opinion as a hateful person.

The next 4 yrs are going to very hard on everybody, start looking forward and say goodbye to yesterday.

Glad to see the forum back, I think I'll be reading more than posting.

Heck, the driverless beer truck made headlines a few weeks ago and there is not a more ominous storm cloud on the horizon for millions of Americans than this.

solution so they ignored it.

I also told them we will need to reduce Soc Sec to age 50 at least and that unemployment will hit between 50-70% by 2020.

He's a genius, and he's doing amazing work with solar, electric vehicles, and batteries.

There will be a whole new cast of characters in 2020.

The candidates in 2020 will be, Melinda Gates (Dem) and
Travis Kalanick (GOP).

Also running for the Senate may be; Musk, Bezos, Cuban, and Cook.

but China is making money hand over fist manufacturing steel...so that is honestly an excuse. Our country can not survive if we don't bring back jobs. I live in the mid-West...we need jobs here and everywhere.
