Trump won, thanks to Putin and Comey.

Obviously there were other factors in play, but I think the WikiLeaks email dump thanks to Putin was a major factor. Even with that, I feel Hillary might have survived that. Then Comey came along and delivered the coup de grace. Fucker should be forced to resign.

That's my 2 cents in a nutshell. I haven't seen this suggested in another OP. If so, my apologies.

They both source from a not so covert subversion of the election were done in the open and should make American elections a laughing stock from now on.

3. Listening to disenfranchised Dems in Ohio and Michigan says differently.

I think the DNC is most to blame. Even had Wikileaks not hacked, the lack of selling the ACA throughout 2013-2016 was equivalent to malpractice and likely helped to distrust Democrats. Deserting the middle class after so many promises to retool and retrain proved an insurmountable challenge. Heck! Bill Clinton was talking about retraining in 1992. Never really happened.

I also think miopia/bitter battle over "PUMA 2016" did the kind of toxic damage that requires a complete renovation. People will die because DWS was still in that job after 2014. There was a window to change the message and win back the Senate. Obama - whom I respect and adore - blew it re: the DNC & DWS.

Now that the we know how many racist Americans we have post Obama, how do we winningly make a move?

I think... IF Democrats can hammer climate change, race may melt away with the glaciers. We need a big, tough conservative ally like say Schwarzenegger or his equivalent in the fight against global warming. Then by persuading some conservatives to join the fight, we can all live to fight another day. I think there are going to be great political shifts. Maybe we'll have liberal Republicans AND conservative Democrats again to decide what core values are worth the effort.

Can someone explain to me that with the evidence we have and the agenda Don the Furor has voiced, how we can be great again?

We need to define "great". Pin it down. And then act on it. And we need a livable planet.

IMHO

Why can't people see what is right in front of them? Why is there always DP bashing when the truth is right in front of their eyes?

The angry white dudes that you are talking about missed the party by THIRTY YEARS. Why is that? Where the fuck were they thirty years ago, when Reagan busted PATCO and started the outsourcing mania and the gutting of pensions? Because they or their parents or their grandparents voted for REAGAN, who was responsible for the downhill slide in living standards in this country.

BTW, it wasn't just Clinton who was pushing "retraining." The GOP also peddled that crap. Most of these guys couldn't cut it in school but had an entitlement mentality that they were owed the best pay and jobs because they were dudes who "supported families."

I have NO sympathy for these white dudes anymore who think they are entitled to the best jobs, who think that women and minorities are "stealing" those jobs away from them simply because these dudes are white and have dicks but thought they earned those jobs through merit and not because they are white and have dicks, which of course is why they got those good paying jobs in the first place. These idiots don't even understand how privileged they have been.

NO sympathy at all for them. They created this mess by their idiot votes. They can go to hell.

7. the DNC has already been exposed as having no connection to the left wing of the party.

Trump has positioned himself further to the left than the DNC. At least his lip service has. Dems like Pelosi are great. But nobody in the middle was listening to her.

Admit that the Dems need to attract a new generation PRONTO.

8. Deal in fantasy. You have no idea what happened in this election.

You are laughable when you say Trump "positioned" himself to the "left" of the DNC. Yeah, by demonizing minorities and women, who the stupid white dudes thought were "stealing" "their" jobs away from them.

If that is the "left," I don't want any fucking part of it.

You clearly don't remember or weren't even around during the Reagan era. I had sympathy for these working class dudes then, but I don't anymore.

You haven't one clue what happened here. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. Trump was the end result of media manipulation for ratings and ad revenue.

Live in your "left" fantasy. It doesn't change the truth.

9. Is this how you want to talk about why Dems voted for Trump in the rust belt?

He may get those infrastructure jobs Dems have asked for since 1996 & particularly in 2002. Sidetracked by war and racist resistance to Obama.

We know the fourth estate is AWOL. They have been since 1996. The DNC ought to know that. The newspapers have lost readership. Realuty tv has replaced normal entertainment. And we get our news from polar opposite outlets. We all know that.

A plea.. Please don't attack someone out of the just repaired gate. Please know who the real enemy is. I'm not the enemy. I was on Twitter into the wee hours of the 8th & 9th with some Christian Right Assholes. I took abuse from neo-nazi's for two days while the place was shut down. To get in here hoping to fight for the heart of the party and take abuse from a fellow dem is depressing on top of depression unlike any I've ever known.

Wall Street and people like DWS. Her ineptitude has been visible since the 2014 midterms. She would neither defend or explain the ACA. Dems lost this election in 2014 in my opinion.

We need a full time chairperson who is an attack dog and a defender of the Democratic Platform. She did neither. She ignored the Sanders revolution at our peril. I trusted the DNC to be much smarter than they are.
