Why are we supposed to play nice and act like nothing happened?

That seems to be the meme now. Dave Chappelle even addressed it in his monologue on Saturday Night Live. If you look anywhere - at any comments section or on Twitter or Facebook, the conservatives are being the bullies and assholes that they are. And we're supposed to bow down and play nice and act like nothing happened the last 18 months? Or that the right wing has spent 35 years destroying and discrediting Hillary Clinton and 8 years obstructing Obama, and the last year obstructing Obama's SCOTUS pick? Are we supposed to ignore Mitch McConnell's middle finger aimed at Obama for picking a SCOTUS justice, or the hundreds of thousands of insults Donald Trump hurled at Hillary Clinton? Or the amount of times Obama was questioned about his citizenship, or the countless investigations into Benghazi when time after time no wrong doing was found? Hell no. I'm not playing nice. I'm done with them. After the way they treated us like shit up to and after the election. I'm done. We're suddenly supposed to be holding hands and singing Kumbaya? Hell no! We need some Bluto in our party right now. We're suffering from defeatist mentality but we need to GOTV and make sure Donald Trump is a lame duck president in 2018.

to just get over it and now we have to come together...and I counter with oh yeah the same way you guys did when Obama won?

All I can chalk it up to is that this just proves yet again that we are the better party. We don't come out of the gates with saying we're going to block everything that Trashpot does...no we pledge to work together on what we can find common ground on.

Regardless, we shall hold every Trump supporter and their leader accountable. It's going to be a busy 4 years.

Some asshole Trump supporter was saying we should all move along and that there's nothing to see here. I countered with something similar and the reply I got was "Grow the fuck up". Oh so the deplorables go full Scott Tenorman on us, and we're supposed to "grow the fuck up"? Please!

They gave President Obama hell for 8 years, but we are supposed to play nice when they elect the most dangerous person to the presidency in my lifetime (yes, I was alive when Nixon was elected too!). It bothers the crap out of them to have to listen to the opposition. If they can't take it THEY are the ones that need to grow up.

His plan to deport 3 million "illegals" after his inauguration is bound to piss somebody off. Between this and the deplorables, we're going to need a lot more Jack Daniels to get us through the next 4 years.

They elected the "P#$$% Grabber" they get my full disrespect for the entire time he's in office representing them.

I can, and I will, point out every promise he breaks to them, every stupid move he makes, every quasi-illegal/illegal act he attempts and I will call them out on their racist, bigoted, misogynistic and Nationalistic stupidity.

I'd like to be able to "go high" when they go low, but you cannot go high when they cheat.

Dems are going to have to get down in the gutter with the assholes to be able to counter the vile and hatred that Trump has normalized. It's absolutely a sad commentary on where we are, but it is going to be a necessity to regain any sense of fair play.

As to those Trump supporters who have told (and continue to tell) me to "get over it"? Fuck them all. I'll get over it when I am damn good and ready. I'm tired of the playing field not be fair and level.
