Remember how the Republicans tormented the Democrats, including President Obama,

between 2009-2010, when we had a majority?

It's payback time. They gave us a playbook.

No Democratic fingerprints on any of their legislation.

United front to vote against anything they propose, even if it was originally our idea.

Swarm their townhalls and Congressional offices with protestors when they try to phase out Medicare.

Remind those people who flipped from Obama to Trump every day that he threw in with the Republican Establishment in order to get rid of their Medicare.

Attack, attack, attack.

Our goal is to make Trump a one-term President.

I know we're supposed to be playing nice and etc., but damn it, this is not the time for that.

Show everyone that we do have a spine. And we're pissed off.

Shove the whole damn bottle down their throats until they scream for mercy, and the louder they scream, the more we torment them!

No more Mr. Nice Guy, Democratic men! No more Madame Nice Gal, Democratic women! Go into the gutter and obstruct, obstruct, obstruct, attack, attack, attack ad nauseum! Scream on the House floor during the SOTU, "You liar!" when Rump spouts his pack of lies. Give the rethugs no quarter! Filibuster all Rump's picks for Supreme Court and vote nay on any other judge or Cabinet member; let those pass by party line vote (we nuked the filibuster of lower court judges and Cabinet nominees). Put anonymous holds on legislation and judges whenever possible.

And come 2018, fix the election so that we not only beat the gerrymander, we also get a veto-proof majority in the House and the Senate (God willing). Target RW white fundie, who not only outnumber black evangelicals, but also constantly whine about being persecuted if they don't get their way, for the same voter suppression tactics they inflict on our voters: minorities and students. Their persecution complex makes them easy targets because who will believe them if they actually are stopped from voting? They cry wolf so many times that the people will make them out to be the liars they are.

Bound to be something impeachable in those tax returns--if not, well, we can make up sh*t as well as the repuglicans can!

..out of office.

That's what the Tea Party did to Republicans who dared support any Obama proposals.

The Dems need to vote, en masse, *NO* on every Trump-supported bill that comes up.

Filibuster where we can in the Senate... and vote NO on everything.

That's the playbook to make 2018 the exact reverse of 2010. We need our own "tea party" on the left that stands in 100% opposition to all things Trump.

But senate opposition is just one component. It needs to be backed up with strong messaging. The GOP and tea party have inherent advantages, they have rich, very well organized backers, like the Koch brothers who executed a focused strategy to take state governments for the purpose of gerrymandering in 2010 piggybacking on opposition to the ACA, and an extensive propoganda machine on talk radio and fox. Moreover, they use Reddit and comment sections on news sites with aplomb.

if the government implodes and fails the people that's all the messaging we need.

above all, we can't let Trump claim success in changing Washington. We have to prevent him from claiming any accomplishments in that regard.

The more the same old gridlock appears, the more people will become disenchanted with him.
